Welcome!

Well, hello there! Like a few before me, I've decided to track my progress in Animal Crossing: City Folk online for you to follow. Now, I've been playing for nearly a week now, so I'm not starting off brand new. But that means we get to cut the boring tutorials and junk, right?

Well, let's have a brief overview, hm?

This is me. My name is Andrew, and I have moved into a small town named Appleton. (Man, I've used the same names on each game...should I have been more creative this time?) Upon exiting Kapp'n's bus, I got a chance to meet the town and chat with the mayor. I then chose a nice little house, only a short walk from the local shops and town gate, as well as putting me right next to one of my favorite neighbours, Tangy.

I got to work right away. Salvaging the towns fruit and shells, I managed to round up enough Bells to purchase a Fishing Rod, Net, Watering Can, and a Pack of Red Roses. I fished a bit, caught a few bugs, designed some new clothes (I had the BB shirt on when I arrived...not very appealing) and began to tend to my soon-to-be-awesome garden.

That's me, tending my garden

I spent the rest of the day getting familiar with the town, paying off my first debt, and then trying out the Wi-fi mode.

I had opened up my town gates, and invited two (hopefully) new friends in. Although I don't have any pictures, I also met with Aipe earlier on in the day...we hung out for only a short time, but it was fun.

That's me (Left) Darth_Pokey (Middle) and Elfkitty.

Elfkitty was nice, and Darth_Pokey seems nice (even if he DOES come off as a little...strange).

That ends the first day. Day 2 wasn't as...exciting. I didn't really play online for long, as school had gotten in the way...same with days 3 and 4. Sorry guys, not much I can really say.

In those days, however, I worked on little things here and there. I visited the city, got some prizes and such, caught some fish, and played about an hour of online between those few days. Anyway, that stuff really isn't interesting, so let's move on to Thursday.

After booting up my game, I headed off to the city. It was time for a COMPLETE makeover. I couldn't stand being bland. So I went off to GracieGrace. I picked up a very fetching Tuxedo and a classy pair of glasses. Now, I don't REALLY wear glasses (someone in my house was bugging me about wearing them) but they simply complete my look.

Well, I had the threads, but I wasn't done. I needed new hair. So I headed off to Shampoodle where I got a nice style in a dark brown colour. It was nice...but I felt it made me look TOO formal. So, I whipped out a blank template, and got to work on a nice custom pattern hat. I threw it on...and I was ALMOST complete. I had this dark and formal look going...yet I had bright blue shoes. A total eyesore. So I called upon the work of Kicks to change my shoes. I was now sporting some black shoes with my ensemble. I...was...complete.

I didn't play online that day. In fact, I didn't play very much at all. I didn't have a lot of free time. Well...when I go back and read all of this, I notice just HOW MANY people I've left out. I forgot to mention the times that I spent with both Mise and Eyes5. There's just so much I want to say...but I don't have the time.

Anyway, I met Pete during the little time I was playing, as well as caught some fish.

I'm glad the big N decided to be nice and NOT have you shoot down Pete this time

Now that I've recapped a bit...let's move on to today, November 22. I woke up, watered my plants, read my mail, and then headed out to do my daily work. That included plucking mushrooms, digging up fossils, chatting up the neighbors…Then I went and took a quick peek; no one online

Later, I met up with Aipe, and we goofed around for about an hour. She had to go though, so it was back to town for me. Around that time, I decided to (finally) get off my butt and complete my second debt (it was only 120,000 anyway)

So, at around 7, I headed down to the beach, fished in the ocean, caught 3 Red Snappers, 2 Barred Knifejaws and Rays, and more Football Fish then you can shake a stick at, and quickly made the 40k I needed to finish my debt. I headed over to Nook, got my house options all set up, and then decided to see if anyone was online.

Whoop whoop! Triple the size of my house, please!

I was stopped on the way by one of my neighbors though. Looks like poor Peggy can’t stop thinking about that stupid Flanders. We’ve all been there…

FLANDERS?!?!

Anyway, on my way to the gate, I dug up my extra shovel to gain the easily obtained Golden Shovel (The Silver one is soooo much harder to get)

In case you were wondering, you need to bury a regular shovel for 24 hours. Then it turns gold.

So, I logged on, and saw that Eyes5 had her town open, so I waltzed in. Ran into her, Kgiax, and Katon. It was raining at the time, so the hunt for the elusive Coelacanth was on.

We laughed. We cried. We cussed like sailors. Good times were had, but me and Katon left 2 hours later empty handed (well, I DID make another 40k, as well as caught my first Koi and Walking Stick)

...and that about sums up what I've done. There are other bits and pieces I'll talk about later, but this post is getting a bit...thick.

Today's Question: What K.K Slider song are you requesting tomorrow night?

I'm personally going for Steep Hill. I'd love to hear what kind of musical tastes/strange reasons you have for picking what song you'll be requesting. Not going to request? Going to let K.K. decide for you? Feel free to let me know as well. Sometimes the surprise is the best part!
